Payroll and personnel administration

An accurate payslip, produced on time, with its associated returns: that is what an employee, a management team and a social security body expect every month. Payroll is a demanding skill, sought after and durably employable.

The monthly appointment that commits the company

Payroll is one of the few business processes whose accuracy is checked by hundreds of people, every month, on the same date. That is what makes it both hard and valuable. The skill covers the whole chain: collecting variable elements, applying the collective agreement and legal framework, producing payslips, filing social and tax returns, and archiving the evidence. The programme teaches it alongside the personnel administration around it, from hiring to exit.

  • Collect and check the variable elements of a pay period
  • Produce a compliant payslip, contributions and withholdings included
  • File social and tax returns by their deadlines
  • Maintain a complete personnel file, archived to the required standard

The blocks that build it

The skill is built block after block, in the order of the years. You see here exactly where it is taught, and for how many taught hours.

Your level of command, stated plainly

You run a whole company's payroll and its returns single-handed, from collecting variables to archiving. A skill is best stated by what it lets you carry out on your own, on completion.

The questions we are asked

Can payroll be learned without an accounting background?

Yes. The payroll manager qualification sits at level 5, that of a senior technician, and is prepared over 600 taught hours starting from employment law basics.

Is the Guinean framework the one taught?

The national framework is the reference for contributions and returns, together with the shared principles that make the skill transferable across the sub-region.

Is payroll software used?

Coursework runs on a management tool and on spreadsheets, so the reasoning stays under your control whatever tool your employer uses.
