The problem we address
Qualified young people who must leave in order to study, and local companies unable to find the skills they need. Two halves of the same problem, and they never meet.
Three observations, and what they imply
Studying means leaving
The most recognised programmes require relocation, a visa and living costs that exclude most people. Those who leave rarely return, which worsens the very problem they could have solved.
Local supply is disconnected from the market
The needs employers voice — industrial safety, compliance, data, management — are covered very unevenly, when they are covered at all.
Distance is no longer the obstacle
The real obstacle is intermittent connection and the absence of a computer. A system designed phone-first and offline-capable changes accessibility far more than any speech.
What we conclude
Train locally, remotely, on trades the local economy genuinely needs, with proof an employer can verify without calling us. Each of those four terms is a constraint we impose on ourselves, not a talking point: it is what forbids us, for instance, from selling prestigious programmes with no local outlet.
What we do not claim to be
- A long-established institution — we are starting out, and the absence of alumni shows it
- An alternative to the most selective foreign programmes — that is a different project
- A scheme that guarantees employment — no training provider can honestly guarantee that
- Full coverage of every field — our per-field counts are published, low ones included
