The sectors that recruit, and how you get in

Twenty-four fields of the Guinean and West African economy, described by what happens in them and by the roles that drive them. Each page names the route in, with its duration, taught hours and cost.

Start from the field, not the catalogue

Many people know where they want to work before they know which occupation they want: mining because their prefecture hires there, banking because a relative got in, digital because it sells everywhere. These pages start from that. Each describes a sector through its real activities, names the roles that drive it, then shows exactly what the catalogue offers for getting in.

  • What the sector produces or operates, in plain terms
  • The roles it employs, named as they appear on a job description
  • The catalogue areas available, with their real volumes
  • The programmes that prepare for it, with duration, taught hours and fees
  • The questions we are asked about this specific field

What these pages take from the repository

No figure on these twenty-four pages is entered by hand. Module volumes come from area volumetrics; durations, taught hours and amounts come from the official programme catalogue. The day the catalogue changes, all twenty-four pages change with it — which is what makes it safe to publish them without fearing they will quietly go stale.

Choosing your way in

One programme often opens several fields: industrial safety serves mining, energy, construction and agri-food; OHADA accounting serves banking, insurance and consulting. That is good news for anyone hesitating — starting with the most transferable skill keeps the choice of sector open for as long as possible.

You already know where

Open the sector page: it gives you the roles, the skills and the most direct route.

You are torn between two

Compare the roles on both pages: the overlaps show you which skill to acquire first.

You are starting from the occupation

The occupation pages detail each post and lead back to the sectors that employ it.
