How we teach, and why this way

A programme is judged on three things: what is taught, how you verify it was learned, and who answers for it. Here are our answers to all three, including where they are uncomfortable.

What is taught, and where it comes from

Our content base is published in detail, field by field and level by level. It is deep where the local market asks for it — industrial safety first — and thin elsewhere. We would rather display both than an average that says nothing.

How content is produced

Through a tooled chain, then checked and approved by a named person who answers for it. We publish that chain rather than hide it: production whose workings are concealed inspires exactly the mistrust it should dispel.

    Scoping the need

    One trade, one entry level, one expected outcome. Nothing starts until the target skill is stated as a verifiable action verb.

    Production

    Learning sequence, materials, exercises, assessments. The step that used to take months and now takes weeks.

    Quality control

    Accuracy, currency, consistency with the stated objective. Content failing the check goes back to production, not online.

    Human sign-off

    A named academic lead takes responsibility and publishes. This step is never automated — it is the only guarantee that counts.

    Publication and freeze

    The course is frozen for the duration of the session. Two learners in the same cohort must have received exactly the same teaching.

The three rules we do not cross

A chain that produces fast produces mistakes fast. These rules are the condition for speed to remain an advantage rather than a risk.

A human always publishes

The chain produces a draft; it never publishes on its own. An identified academic lead approves every publication and answers for it.

The freeze rule

A course does not change during its session. Altering content under a running cohort would break equal treatment between learners — an invisible risk, and the most serious one.

No agent is a teacher

A credential is a legal act. The chain produces, the human guarantees: no automated system is counted in the faculty, and none alone issues a decision that shapes a learner's path.

How we verify it was learned

Through submitted, marked work, not multiple-choice quizzes. A certifying assessment includes an identity check: a credential someone can sit in another's place protects nobody, starting with the person holding it.

  • Pass threshold stated before starting, never adjusted afterwards
  • Number of attempts known in advance, and finite
  • Named feedback on what was missing, not merely a score
  • Certificate carrying a public verification link, openable without an account

What the tutor refuses to do

These refusals sell better than capabilities, for a good reason: they are what gives the certificate its value. A system that hands over answers issues credentials worth nothing.

It does not give assessment answers

It rephrases, offers an example, asks a question that moves things forward. A learner handed the solution learns nothing — and the resulting certificate would be worthless.

It does not leave the course

It is anchored in the content of the course being taken, not plugged into the open web. That makes it less talkative, and far more reliable on what is actually taught.

It neither marks nor decides

No certifying mark, no admission, no exclusion. Those acts remain reserved to people, who sign them and answer for them.

It does not report your exchanges

Neither to a parent nor to an employer. A learner who knows they are constantly watched stops daring to be wrong, and so stops learning.
