An award travels provided it is documented the way an equivalence office expects. Here is what every IHETC file contains, what a programme allows from another country, and how it can all be checked.
What makes a file readable elsewhere
An equivalence office always opens a file on the same documents, and looks for them in the same order. They are produced as a matter of course with every award, with nothing to request.
- Supervised hours, unit by unit, and their total
- The credits attached to each unit, under the catalogue rule
- The validated competency framework, stated in action verbs
- Assessment arrangements and the pass threshold applied
- The award identifier and its public verification address
Studying from another country
The programme runs entirely remotely: no residence formality is required to enrol, study and sit assessments. Three points are worth knowing before applying from abroad.
Time zone
Collective sessions are announced in the semester calendar and recorded. Work is submitted against dates, not local times.
Paying the fees
Amounts are set in Guinean francs, with their payment schedule. The programme page shows the exact amount before enrolment.
Identity check
Every certifying assessment includes an identity check, carried out remotely. It protects the worth of the award you obtain.
