OHADA business and company law
Setting up a company, drafting articles, holding a general meeting, securing a receivable, starting proceedings: OHADA law provides the shared framework of seventeen countries. Mastering it secures every company decision before it becomes a dispute.
The shared framework of seventeen countries
OHADA law was designed so that a company can expand from one country to the next under the same rules: the same company forms, the same security interests, the same recovery procedures, the same arbitration route. For an in-house lawyer, that means a skill acquired here works across the whole zone. The programme builds it in the order in which it serves: the company first, then the contract, then security interests, recovery and insolvency.
- Choose a company form and draft its articles of association
- Organise corporate life: meetings, minutes and filings
- Create a security interest and secure a commercial receivable
- Steer a case towards the courts or towards arbitration
