OHADA business and company law

Setting up a company, drafting articles, holding a general meeting, securing a receivable, starting proceedings: OHADA law provides the shared framework of seventeen countries. Mastering it secures every company decision before it becomes a dispute.

The shared framework of seventeen countries

OHADA law was designed so that a company can expand from one country to the next under the same rules: the same company forms, the same security interests, the same recovery procedures, the same arbitration route. For an in-house lawyer, that means a skill acquired here works across the whole zone. The programme builds it in the order in which it serves: the company first, then the contract, then security interests, recovery and insolvency.

  • Choose a company form and draft its articles of association
  • Organise corporate life: meetings, minutes and filings
  • Create a security interest and secure a commercial receivable
  • Steer a case towards the courts or towards arbitration

Where you practise it

Each block combines input, workshop and assessed output. The year shown tells you when in the programme the skill actually comes into play.

The level you reach

You secure a company's routine legal acts on your own and prepare a litigation file up to its handover to counsel. Level shows in volumes as much as in titles: here are both, side by side.
