Keeping goods moving
The cost of goods stuck in port is counted in storage days, blocked cash and waiting customers. An accurate declaration first time avoids it. The skill rests on three precise pieces of knowledge: classifying goods under the right tariff heading, establishing their customs value on the right basis, and proving their origin. To that is added the choice of regime — home use, warehousing, temporary admission — which decides when duty falls due.
