Careers
Web development and integration technician
Turning a design into pages that work everywhere, on every screen and over slow connections: that is the web integrator's craft. A technical, visual role, and the shortest route into application development.
From design to deployment
Work starts from a design and some content. You slice, you structure, you write markup that carries meaning before it carries a shape. Then comes screen adaptation: mobile first, because that is where most of the West African audience is. Then performance, which becomes a matter of respect — compress images, limit scripts, test on a genuinely slow connection. Deployment closes the cycle, followed by the fine-tuning that always comes after.
- Integrate a design into accessible, mobile-ready pages
- Set up a content management system and train its user
- Optimise page weight and rendering time on slow networks
- Deploy, configure a domain name, secure access

What the official catalogue states
These values are not estimates: they are the very definition of the programme in the filed document. Any change goes through a catalogue update, hence through a formal decision. That is what allows a figure announced today to be found unchanged on enrolment day, then on award day.

The learning the qualification attests
The qualification attests these blocks, and it names them. A recruiter reading an application can therefore know precisely what the holder demonstrated, rather than infer it from a title. The hours shown for each block complete the picture: they state how long the skill was practised with an instructor present.
