Designing the experience or making it run
A digital product comes from two moves: deciding what the user will experience, and making it exist in code. Two programmes at the same level each take one of these moves and push it to the level of a trade. Here are their blocks, volumes and the roles they open.
Two moves, one product
Experience design starts before the first line of code: user research, journeys, information architecture, mock-ups, usability testing, component systems. It produces a reasoned decision about what the product should do. Development takes that decision and makes it real: interfaces, services, data, release, performance. Both programmes lead to the same register of credential and work on the same projects, each from its own seat.
Both promises, side by side
User Experience Design and Digital Creation
Designing interfaces nobody needs to explain. Run user research and turn it into design decisions.
Web and Mobile Development
Build and ship products people actually use. Build a modern, accessible and fast web interface.

Your decision criterion
- 01
Watch what you do spontaneously
Facing an app, you either redraw the screen or imagine the query feeding it: the answer is already there.
- 02
Read both competency lists
They come from the catalogue. The one whose every line makes you want to open a tool points to your programme.
- 03
Keep the other for later
A short certificate later lets you add the other half to your profile, without starting a whole programme again.
The points people want to check
Does the design programme require coding?
It teaches the integration needed to dialogue with a technical team and to prototype. The exact prerequisite is on the programme page.
Does the development programme cover user experience?
Yes, as an interface and accessibility block, with design principles applied to the screens you build.
Do the two work on shared projects?
Yes: capstone projects bring both programmes together, reproducing the real organisation of a product team.
