An employer who knows neither the institution nor the system needs a frame of reading. The supplement provides it: nature of the document, level, volume, mode of assessment, awarding authority, and the reference to check.
What the supplement explains
The document asserts, the supplement situates. It fits on one page and answers an outside reader's questions in order: what is it, at what level, for what work volume, assessed how, awarded by whom, and verifiable where. It is written in French and English on the same sheet, which avoids a courtesy translation at every application outside the sub-region.
Nature of the document

Level and responsibility
The catalogue level and the type of responsibility it covers, spelled out in full.
Work volume
Credits, supervised hours and duration, with the conversion rule: 25 h per credit.

The institution and the MESRS order reference under which it awards.
Third-party check
The verification reference and the address of the public page, in plain text on the sheet.

Questions about the supplement
Is the supplement issued automatically?
It accompanies every awarded document, with no request needed. An extra copy is obtained on written request quoting the reference, and it carries the same reference as the original.
Will a foreign employer understand it?
It is written in both languages of the site and expresses everything in universal units: credits, supervised hours, duration in months. The conversion rule is written out in plain text — 25 hours of work per credit, of which 10 supervised — which allows a direct comparison with another system.
What does a third party check from the supplement?
The verification reference appears there in plain text. The third party opens the public page, compares the title, the level, the date and the status, and thereby obtains an independent confirmation of the document in hand.
