Certifying a project delivery skill

Running a project is proven on deliveries: a scope held, a budget respected, a milestone announced then reached. The documents in this field attest those acts and the supervised volume that prepared them.

What a delivered project is judged on

Project delivery is judged in hindsight, on what was shipped and on the gaps explained. The awarded document attests the assessed acts: framing a scope with a sponsor, planning, holding a budget, arbitrating a scope change, closing and handing over. It also names the level of responsibility, since running a work package and carrying a portfolio are two distinct functions.

  • Frame a scope with a sponsor and formalise it
  • Plan, cost and hold an hours budget
  • Run a progress review and handle a variance
  • Arbitrate a scope change and document its cost
  • Close a project, hand over and capture lessons learned

Project sponsor questions

Does the certification cover one specific method?

It covers the acts of delivery, which recur whatever method is used: framing, planning, arbitration, closing. The detailed content of each block is published on the qualification page, which lets a sponsor judge on the documents.

How do a coordinator and a project manager compare?

By level: senior technician and supervisor at level 5, manager and professional at level 6. The table above gives each one its credits, its supervised hours and its number of blocks.

Can practice already exercised be attested?

Yes, through the prior experience route, block by block, on projects actually run. The file rests on the documents produced: framing notes, schedules, review minutes, closing reports.
