Certifying an interface design skill
Design is judged on what people manage to do with the product. The documents in this field attest user research, the tested prototype, handover to production and measurement of actual use, with their supervised hours.
What the document adds to the portfolio
A portfolio shows a result, and that already counts. The awarded document establishes the rest: the personal share taken in the work shown, the method used, the supervised hours and a reference a recruiter opens without calling you. Both are presented together, and each answers what the other leaves open — it is the most complete file a studio receives.
- Run user research and derive requirements from it
- Produce a prototype and test it with real people
- Establish a component system that holds over time
- Hand over to a development team, with specifications
- Measure actual use and correct on the basis of observation

Studio and agency questions
Is a document worth anything next to a portfolio?
It establishes what the portfolio leaves open: the personal share in the work shown, the method followed and the supervised volume. Both are presented together, and the recruiter cross-checks one against the other in minutes.
Does the field also address graphic profiles?
The entry rung covers graphic production, 9 months for 600 supervised hours. The scale then rises towards interface work, and on to creative leadership.
Can a studio have its team certified?
Each person follows their own path and receives their personal document with its reference. The studio then holds individual references to produce in a tender response, which is the format a client asks for.
