Adjustments granted on request

An adjustment is requested at enrolment or at any point in the year, assessed on documents and applied from the next session onwards. It covers time allowed, the format of materials and assessment conditions.

The adjustments granted

The list below covers the adjustments commonly granted. A request outside it is assessed the same way: what matters is the intended effect on working conditions, not the name given to the measure.

  • Extra time on assessments, in a proportion set in writing
  • Materials in adapted formats: resizable text, enhanced contrast, audio version
  • Subtitles and transcripts for recorded sessions
  • Scheduled breaks during long papers
  • Submission in an alternative format agreed in advance
  • Spreading the programme over a longer span, with its own calendar

How an adjustment is obtained

  1. 01

    You make the request

At enrolment or at any point in the year, in writing, to the disability lead. No moment is more appropriate than another.

  2. 02

    Assessment on documents

The lead reviews the request with the supporting documents, and calls you back to clarify what would help you most.

  3. 03

    Written notification

The adjustment granted is described precisely: scope, duration, papers concerned. It is authoritative for every marker.

  4. 04

    Applied from the next session

With no further step from you, and for the full notified duration. A revision is requested the same way.

Assessment timeframes

An adjustment request follows the institute's published timeframes, and its implementation follows the session calendar. That is what lets you anticipate an assessment knowing the conditions you will sit it under.

What stays identical for everyone

An adjustment changes the conditions you work under, and leaves untouched what gives the award its value. That is exactly what makes it useful: the award obtained attests the same skills, at the same level, for the whole cohort.

  • The programme framework and the skills validated
  • The pass threshold, announced before the module begins
  • The taught volume and credits recorded in the catalogue
  • The award issued and its public verification address

Questions about adjustments

Is supporting documentation required?

Medical evidence or an administrative recognition allows the request to be assessed quickly. Without it, the lead reviews the situation with you and proposes the measures that can be put in place immediately, while the file is completed.

Does the adjustment appear on the award?

The award carries the title, the date, the taught volume and the validated skills. The practical conditions of sitting belong to your administrative file, visible to you alone: that is what makes requesting an adjustment inconsequential for how an employer reads it.

Can an adjustment be requested mid-year?

Yes, at any time, and it applies from the next session. A changing situation leads to a revision requested the same way: the notified measure follows your actual situation, not the date you discovered it.
