Infrastructure and cloud manager

Availability, capacity, security, cost: the infrastructure manager arbitrates those four demands continuously. They design the architecture, steer a team and a budget, and answer for service continuity before the whole organisation.

Four demands to hold together

Design occupies the long horizon: which architecture, which hosting, what level of redundancy for which service. Continuity occupies the critical horizon: a tested recovery plan, verified backups, an incident procedure the team knows. Capacity is planned over the year, failing which it is discovered on a peak day. Budget, finally, turns every technical decision into an economic arbitration, and that is what the level 6 qualification specifically recognises.
