Tutoring: the help that makes you find the answer
Tutoring supports the student on the technical difficulty of the moment. The tutor questions, steers, shows the method — and leaves the work in your hands, because the work is what forms you. The work stays yours from start to finish, and so does the skill.
Questioning rather than solving
Tutoring is individual support centred on the actual sticking point. The tutor reformulates the question, isolates the exact place where reasoning stops, offers a lead and has the student produce. The work stays the student's own: that is the condition for the skill to belong to them and to be there intact on assessment day.

What the tutor brings, concretely
On the Introduction to Programming module, the tutor rereads the loop with the student, has them say what each line executes, and lets them find the mistake. On the Web and Mobile Development programme, they work on architecture: which responsibility goes where, and why.
