Attendance record: the trace of what you attended

An attendance record sets down the course attended, its taught hours and its dates. It is the document an employer files and a funder asks for in support of their contribution. It carries the title, the dates and the taught hours attended.

What the record sets down

An attendance record sets down participation in a course: title, dates, taught hours attended, content covered. It serves the administrative file and the funder. A certificate, by contrast, attests skills assessed and validated. The two complement each other: the record says what was attended, the certificate says what was demonstrated. On short formats, the institute issues a course attendance certificate.

  • The record says what was attended, the certificate what was demonstrated
  • The document funders and training departments expect

Record and certificate, two uses

A company enrolling ten colleagues on the Advanced Excel course receives one record per person, with the hours attended. That document feeds the year's training plan. The Community Management and Digital Marketing Essentials courses follow the same rule.

Courses that issue it

3 catalogue programmes put “Attendance record” to work: 12 credits and 120 taught hours in total. The official rule holds throughout — one credit stands for 25 hours of work, 10 of them taught. Every line below is recomputed from the programme page: level, duration, credits, taught volume and fees in Guinean francs appear exactly as filed in the official catalogue.

The details that matter

Does the record state the hours attended?

Yes, with the course dates. It is the figure a funder examines first.

Can a company receive the records together?

Yes: a single delivery to the training department, with one named record per participant.

Are the record and the certificate issued together?

On assessed courses, you receive both: one sets down attendance, the other attests the skills validated.
