Peer review: the eye of people doing the same work
Peer review means having your work examined by other students at the same level, against a shared grid. It teaches two things at once: how to read someone's work, and how to reread your own. A published grid guides it, which makes every review comparable.
Reading someone else's work, and your own
Peer review organises the mutual examination of submissions within a cohort, against a published grid. Everyone receives two or three reviews and produces as many. The strongest benefit goes to the reviewer: examining three different solutions to the same question builds a technical judgement that marking alone does not give. The instructor then marks, grid in hand.

The review round, in four steps
On the Web and Mobile Development programme, code review reproduces what teams genuinely do: comment, suggest, justify. On the Data Science programme, review focuses on dataset preparation, where a model's reliability is decided long before the algorithm is chosen.

1 — Submission
Submissions are filed on a set date, anonymised, and distributed against the published review grid.

2 — The review
Each student examines two or three pieces and grounds every remark in a criterion from the grid.

The author answers the reviews received: what they take on, what they defend, what they fix.

4 — The marking
The instructor marks the submission and the quality of the reviews produced: reading is an assessed skill.
