Qualification level: responsibility, not duration

A qualification level states the scope of responsibility exercised, not the number of years spent studying. The catalogue's qualifications run from level 4 to level 7. It guides the choice of target qualification and of the units to take.

What a level measures

The qualification level expresses the autonomy and breadth of decisions a position expects. At level 4, the holder applies established procedures reliably. At level 7, they arbitrate, commit the organisation and account for it. At the upper levels, professional experience is the entry condition: responsibility already exercised is what opens the door.

  • The level states responsibility, not years of study
  • Four published steps, from level 4 to level 7
  • At the upper steps, professional experience opens access

The four steps, one by one

An experienced technician aims at a higher-level qualification because their role has changed, not because they spent another year studying. The Business Management programme supports that step on the management side, the Cybersecurity programme on the technical side: in both cases, the target level drives the choice of units.

Two programmes, two steps

2 catalogue programmes put “Qualification level” to work: 300 credits and 3000 taught hours in total. The official rule holds throughout — one credit stands for 25 hours of work, 10 of them taught. Every line below is recomputed from the programme page: level, duration, credits, taught volume and fees in Guinean francs appear exactly as filed in the official catalogue.
