Advanced spreadsheets and quantitative analysis

The spreadsheet remains the most widespread tool in any organisation, and the most under-used. Nested formulas, pivot tables, automation and dashboards: four moves turn a passive file into a steering instrument consulted every week.

The fastest lever in a working role

No skill pays back this fast. A reconciliation done by hand every Monday morning becomes a formula; a report rebuilt every month becomes a pivot table that refreshes itself; repetitive data entry becomes a macro. The time returned is counted in days per quarter, and the team sees it at once. That is why the course runs over two months and is aimed first at people already in a role.

  • Build a lookup and control formula spanning several sheets
  • Analyse a dataset with pivot tables and slicers
  • Automate a recurring task with a recorded then refined macro
  • Assemble a monthly dashboard that refreshes itself

The scale of the learning

You run a department dashboard single-handed and automate the processes that feed it each month. Four figures are enough to place a skill: blocks, hours, credits and certified outlets.
