JavaScript and TypeScript, from browser to server
JavaScript runs the web; TypeScript adds the types that keep an application maintainable across a team. Both run in the browser and on the server, which makes this the most immediately employable skill in software development.
One language, the whole chain
Writing the same language on both sides of an application changes how you work: data models are shared, errors are caught in one place, and a single developer can hold a full chain together. TypeScript adds a safety net that lasts the life of the project: the compiler flags an inconsistency as you write it, rather than a user six months later. That pairing sits at the centre of the teaching, together with the discipline it demands.

Should I learn JavaScript before TypeScript?
The block teaches them together, in that order: the semantics of the language first, typing immediately after. Separating them would mean writing code for weeks that you would then have to redo entirely.
Is this block enough to work as a web developer?
It is the core of it. The full role adds web foundations, programming interfaces and deployment, all taught within the same twenty-four-month programme.
Does the code written during the course stay yours?
Yes. The work you submit forms your own portfolio; it stays with you after the programme and supports you in a technical interview.
