What is validated once is acquired for good

Every validated unit — a programme module or a qualification block — is recorded in your name, with its date, and stays acquired. The catalogue holds 541 of them: 181 programme modules and 360 competency blocks, all validated separately.

One unit, one recorded achievement

A unit is the smallest thing that validates on its own: a programme module or a qualification block. It carries its title, its teaching year, its hour volume and its credits. Once validated, it is entered in the register in your name, with its date, and it stays there — which is what makes a path interruptible without loss.

  • A stable title, the one in the filed catalogue
  • A teaching year, including for a core strand spread across the whole programme
  • A volume of supervised hours and a number of credits
  • A validation date, carried onto the transcript
  • Automatic carry-over at any later admission

How a unit is capitalised

  1. 01

    Take the unit

The supervised volume is stated before you begin, in hours of actual work.

  2. 02

    Sit the dedicated assessment

Each unit has its own, with a threshold stated in advance and held to afterwards.

  3. 03

See the unit entered in the register

Title, credits, hours and date are recorded in your name as soon as it is validated.

  4. 04

    Reuse it

It is taken up in any later path containing the same unit, without retaking it.

Questions about capitalisation

How long does a unit stay acquired?

Indefinitely. A validated unit appears in the register with its date, and that date is what lets an employer or an equivalence office judge how recent an achievement is, knowingly.

Does a unit validated in one programme serve in another?

Yes, wherever the two paths share the unit. Admission compares the frameworks and takes up what matches, which shortens the remaining path and the matching budget accordingly.

Can I pause and resume?

The register keeps your units and your transcript. On resuming, admission starts from the last recorded achievement and issues a dated path for the rest. That is precisely the use capitalisation exists for.

Can a third party consult the register?

A third party consults the verification reference you give them, and that page publishes the title, the validated competencies, the date and the status. The detail of your path is issued to you, on the transcript.
