Collective time, in person
Some learning gains from happening together and on site: a laboratory, a simulation, a defence. These gatherings are set in the calendar at the start of the year, with their place, length and purpose.
What a gathering makes possible
The technical gesture
Handling equipment, running a measurement, applying a procedure on the trade's real hardware.
The simulation
Running a meeting, leading an audit, delivering a safety briefing: acts performed in front of people.
The defence
Presenting your project to a board, answering questions and defending your choices, within the time allowed.
How it is announced
- 01
Calendar entry
From the start of the year, with the date, place, length and precise purpose of the session. You plan your travel around a known date.
- 02
Detailed programme
Published beforehand: what will be run, with what equipment, and what to have worked on before coming.
- 03
Shared write-up
After the session, the outputs and points covered join the module space, available to the whole cohort.
The span your calendar covers
A gathering is prepared well ahead, because it involves travel. The durations below come from the official catalogue: they give the horizon over which a programme's calendar is published.
| Programme | Level | Duration | Taught hours | Fees |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Health, Industrial Safety and Environment | Bachelor's degree | 2 years | 1200 h | 5 400 000 GNF per year |
| Industrial Maintenance and Energy | Bachelor's degree | 2 years | 1200 h | 5 400 000 GNF per year |
| Cybersecurity programme — Bac+5 level | Master's degree | 2 years | 1200 h | 7 500 000 GNF per year |
| Data Science programme — Bac+5 level | Master's degree | 2 years | 1200 h | 7 200 000 GNF per year |
Coming on site, and following from home
Every gathering has its remote counterpart: the session is streamed, outputs are submitted online and the write-up joins the module space. Those present perform the gesture on the hardware; those following remotely perform it at the next gathering, or in a slot opened for them. That is what keeps a programme reachable from across the region.
Questions about gatherings
How far ahead are the dates known?
From the start of the year, along with the rest of the academic calendar. That is the point deciding whether travel is feasible, so it is published together with assessment dates rather than announced mid-year.
Is travel covered by the fees?
Programme fees cover content, supervision, marking, the tutor, assessments and the award. Travel and accommodation are paid directly by you, and the start-of-year announcement leaves you time to arrange them at the best price.
What if I am abroad?
You follow the stream and submit your work online, like the rest of the cohort. The technical gesture is performed in a slot opened for people at a distance, and it is validated in the same way.
