A placement is prepared like a case file: a defined target, documents ready, outreach tracked and followed up. Support covers all three, and the follow-up continues throughout the whole period spent on site.
The five stages of a search

Defining the target
A type of role, a type of organisation, a geographical area. Three criteria are enough, and they make the search manageable.
- 02
Preparing the documents
Skills file, work to show, proof of enrolment and a template agreement. Everything is ready before the first outreach.
- 03
Making contact
A short message, addressed to a named person, stating what you can carry out and what you are seeking to carry out.
- 04
Tracking outreach
A dated table: to whom, when, expected reply, planned follow-up. That tracking is what makes a search succeed.

Framing the assignment
Purpose, duration, on-site supervisor, expected output. The agreement covers all four, which protects both sides.
What you prepare before writing
An outreach message succeeds when it arrives with its evidence. The four documents below are built during the programme: they already exist when you start the search.
- A skills file built on the blocks of the title being prepared
- Two pieces of work from the programme, presentable as they are
- Proof of enrolment on the programme taken
- A template agreement, ready for the organisation to complete

During the time on site
Follow-up continues: a check-in on arrival to align the assignment with the on-site supervisor, a mid-period check to adjust, and written feedback at the end covering what you carried out. The programme tutor stays open throughout, which lets you connect what you meet on site with what the module teaches.
Questions about placements
When should the search start?
As soon as the skills file carries two presentable pieces, which usually happens during the first semester. A search started early leaves room for follow-ups, and follow-ups are what carry most applications through.
Does the institute provide the agreement?
Yes: a template agreement is available in your space, to be completed with the host organisation. It carries the assignment's purpose, its duration, the on-site supervisor and the expected output — the four points that prevent misunderstandings.
Can an assignment in my current job qualify?
Yes, where it covers an object distinct from your usual duties and yields assessable output. It is the most common route for people in work, and it is framed in the agreement like any other assignment.
