Art and creative director
Giving a brand a visual direction, holding it across every medium and developing a creative team: the art director decides what a company looks like in the eyes of the public.
Holding a direction over time
An art direction is stated before it is drawn: what promise, what register, what rules. The director formulates it, defends it before the client or the executive team, then keeps it alive across dozens of productions. Leading the team takes most of the time — framing a brief, reviewing, developing people, protecting design time. Production closes the loop: deadlines, budgets, suppliers, execution quality down to the last delivered file.
- Formulate a brand platform and a workable visual direction
- Frame a creative brief and review the team's output
- Defend a creative position before a client or an executive team
- Steer a production: budget, deadlines, suppliers, delivered quality

What you know before committing
The catalogue publishes these four values for every programme, and it publishes them before any application. A candidate knows what they are buying, an employer knows what they are funding, a panel knows what it is assessing. One set of figures travels through the whole file, which makes every step predictable.

The detail of the assessed skills
Assessment covers these blocks, one by one, and nothing else. Each has its taught hours, its exercise and its validation criterion. That transparency has a direct effect on preparation: you work on what will be assessed, in the proportions in which it will be, and you measure your progress block after block.
