Programme hours: the total you commit to

Programme hours add up the taught hours of a course of study. They appear on every page, they can be recomputed from the credits, and they reach 1800 hours on the densest programme in the catalogue. It is recovered with one multiplication, and that is what makes it citable.

How the volume is computed

The programme hours of a course of study are the sum of the taught hours of its units. They follow mechanically from the credits: 10 hours per credit, without exception. A 180-credit programme therefore shows 1800 taught hours, and a recognition office recovers that figure with one multiplication. It is the most citable piece of data on a programme page.

  • Taught volume = credits × 10
  • 1800 taught hours on the densest programme
  • 24150 taught hours across 30 programmes

The catalogue, in hours

The Industrial Site Safety certificate states its volume the way a long programme does: taught hours per block, total at the foot of the page. An employer funding the course looks at that total, weighs it against time away from the role, and decides. Publishing the exact figure speeds that decision up.

Two volumes compared

2 catalogue programmes put “Programme hours” to work: 138 credits and 1380 taught hours in total. The official rule holds throughout — one credit stands for 25 hours of work, 10 of them taught. Every line below is recomputed from the programme page: level, duration, credits, taught volume and fees in Guinean francs appear exactly as filed in the official catalogue.

Before you apply

Do programme hours include independent study?

The published volume counts taught hours. Independent study adds 15 hours per credit on top, and the matching weekly load appears on the page.

Can I check the volume myself?

Yes: multiply the credits by 10. The result matches the displayed total on all 30 programmes.

Do these hours appear in the record issued at the end?

Yes, unit by unit, with the associated credits. It is the document a third party examines to situate your record.
