Funding
Funding a professional qualification, block by block
The 72 professional qualifications in the official catalogue are prepared through competency blocks. Each block is funded separately, stays yours, and adds to the previous one up to the full qualification.
The block is the funding unit
A professional qualification is described through competency blocks, and that structure changes how it is funded. You do not commit to the whole qualification at once: you prepare one block, you validate it, it stays yours, and you then decide on the next. The budget is therefore built tier by tier, at the pace of your actual situation. The official catalogue publishes each qualification's level, duration, credits and supervised volume — the four figures that allow planning without asking anyone.
Four qualifications, four levels of responsibility
Credits and hours follow the official rule of ten supervised hours per credit. These four qualifications describe one progression of responsibility, each prepared separately and staying yours for the next.
| Professional qualification | Level | Credits | Supervised hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Accounting Assistant | Skilled employee and operative | 60 | 600 h |
| Company Accountant | Senior technician and supervisor | 70 | 700 h |
| Finance and Administration Manager | Manager and professional | 80 | 800 h |
| Chief Financial Officer | Expert and executive | 70 | 700 h |
How the budget is built
- 01
Choose the qualification
The official catalogue publishes its level, duration, credits and supervised volume.
- 02
Identify the preparing programme
It carries the published amount, and it is what gets funded: long programme, certification or short course.
- 03
Fund block by block
Each tier is settled in its own right. What is validated stays yours for the next tier.
- 04
Bring in employer funding
A qualification named for an occupation argues especially well before a human resources department.

Questions about qualifications
Must the whole qualification be funded at once?
The block is the unit: you commit to one tier, validate it, keep it, and then decide on the next. That is what makes the progression compatible with a budget built over time.
Do employers fund qualifications more readily?
A qualification named for an occupation, with its blocks and supervised volume, attaches directly to a role. That is precisely the argument a human resources department expects on a quote.
Do the credits earned serve elsewhere?
They stay yours and carry across where blocks overlap with another catalogue route. The page devoted to changing route describes that carry-over.
