What a credit and a supervised hour cost
The only way to compare two courses is to relate their price to their volume. The official catalogue rule makes that calculation possible: one credit is twenty-five hours of work, ten of them supervised. Here is the result, programme by programme.
A public rule makes the calculation checkable
The filed catalogue sets a rule with no exception: one credit represents twenty-five hours of work, ten of them supervised. That rule is what allows an amount to be related to a volume and two programmes to be compared without relying on their titles. Anyone can redo the calculation from the figures published on each page — that is precisely the point of a public rule, and what separates a fee schedule from a sales proposal.

The calculation applied to long programmes
The last column divides the programme total by its supervised hours. The values sit within a narrow band, which says the essential: the amount follows the volume taught, not the subject taught.
| Programme | Credits | Supervised hours | Per supervised hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Computer Science programme — Bac+3 level | 180 | 1800 h | 9 000 GNF |
| Business Management programme — Bac+3 level | 180 | 1800 h | 8 000 GNF |
| Artificial Intelligence programme — Bac+5 level | 120 | 1200 h | 13 000 GNF |
| Management and Project Management programme — Bac+5 level | 120 | 1200 h | 10 833 GNF |
| Health, Industrial Safety and Environment | 120 | 1200 h | 9 000 GNF |
The same calculation on short formats
A short format concentrates its supervision into a few weeks: for equal volume, it draws more heavily on teaching availability. Publishing this figure alongside the long-programme one is the only honest way to let readers arbitrate between density and spread.
| Programme | Credits | Supervised hours | Per supervised hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Project Management Certificate | 18 | 180 h | 16 111 GNF |
| Certificate in Leading Distributed Teams | 12 | 120 h | 23 333 GNF |
| Community Management | 4 | 40 h | 25 000 GNF |
| Digital Marketing Essentials | 4 | 40 h | 27 500 GNF |
How to redo the calculation yourself
- 01
Note the credits
They appear on every programme page, block by block, and add up unambiguously.
- 02
Apply the official rule
Ten supervised hours per credit: supervised volume follows from the credit count, and the reverse too.
- 03
Multiply by the years billed
The annual amount is settled once per academic year begun. The total follows directly.
- 04
Divide by the volume
The result is the cost of one supervised hour. You then have a genuinely comparable basis.
Questions about the calculation
Why relate the price to supervised hours and not to total work?
Because the supervised hour is the one the institution produces: content, marking, sessions, assessments. The other fifteen hours of each credit are your own work, and they belong entirely to you.
Does this calculation apply to professional qualifications?
The same rule of ten supervised hours per credit applies to them, and their volumes are published in the official catalogue. The page devoted to funding them gives the full reading.
Does a gap between two programmes reflect a difference in quality?
It reflects a difference of format: how dense the supervision is, over what span it spreads, what kind of work is assessed. The two figures are read together, and it is your weekly availability that decides.
