Designing and running an enterprise network
Addressing, switching, routing, segmentation, quality of service: the network is the first thing suspected when an application slows down, and the last thing anyone knows how to diagnose. This skill makes that diagnosis methodical rather than intuitive.
Watching the packets go by
A well-designed network is noticed by how little it is talked about. Getting there requires explicit choices: segmenting to contain an incident, reserving bandwidth for a critical service, planning failover to a second carrier link. The programme teaches these choices on full lab topologies, then their daily operation: monitoring, measurement, intervention logs. It is the same act, from the addressing plan to field troubleshooting, and it holds for an industrial site as much as for a bank branch.
