The OHADA area covers seventeen states and a unified business law few local lawyers master in full. This programme takes it as its main object: companies, security interests, debt recovery, insolvency, arbitration. It adds compliance, now the entry point to the profession — an in-house lawyer today spends more time preventing a breach than arguing one after the fact.

Learning objectives

  • Incorporate a company and meet its obligations across the OHADA area
  • Draft and negotiate an enforceable commercial contract
  • Run a debt recovery through to conclusion
  • Build a compliance framework that withstands an inspection
