Moving at your own pace or following a calendar

Two programmes at the same level and length, two ways of organising the weeks. One hands you the calendar and paces you through submissions. The other sets fixed sessions that shape the month. The right choice depends on how you work.

Two ways of holding a calendar

Self-paced study puts the tempo in your hands: content opens ahead of time, assessments carry submission dates, and you choose when to work. Scheduled study does the opposite: the week carries live sessions at fixed times, and the group moves together from one milestone to the next. Both lead to the same credit volume and the same assessments; what differs is who holds the diary.

  • Self-paced: content open ahead, submission dates as anchors
  • Scheduled: live sessions at fixed times, collective progression
  • In both cases, the same credit volume and the same assessments
  • In both cases, a cohort adviser reachable throughout the programme

How to decide

  1. 01

Look at your last six months

If your weeks look alike, a fixed calendar will carry you. If they vary, holding the diary beats the best session badly timed.

  2. 02

    Count your two-hour slots

The weekly workload line splits into sequences. Count how many clear slots your week already offers.

  3. 03

    Choose your engine

Some move forward through commitment to a group, others through personal milestones. Both work: the programme that matches yours is the right one.

What candidates ask

Does self-paced study include support?

Yes: a cohort adviser, work reviews and a tutor available on every block. The freedom applies to the diary; the support stays complete.

Are submission dates negotiable?

They are published in the cohort calendar and can be rearranged on a justified request to the adviser, once per term.

Can a scheduled programme be followed from another city?

Yes, live sessions are held remotely and remain available afterwards. The calendar announces every slot in advance.
