The institute's academic board is in place. It approves the structure of the 30 programmes, the assessment methods and the composition of defence panels.
It sits at least twice per academic year, and its decisions are minuted. Any change to a published course structure goes before it before being served on the site.
The board also rules on student appeals about an assessment, together with the disciplinary and appeals board, with each party heard.
