Industry, safety and HSE — 140 modules

Health, safety, environment and industrial plant operation. It covers the real risks of a site: electrical, mechanical, chemical, fire, work at height, confined spaces — and how to document them so an inspection can verify them.

How this field breaks down

The base is an intermediate plateau. Where the « advanced » column is empty, it stays on display: that is the most useful information here.

Why this field matters here

It is the largest part of the catalogue, and not by chance: Guinea's mining sector, bauxite first, carries training obligations few local providers cover in French and remotely. For a site, a trained operator and an exportable training record matter equally.

Target roles

What these people actually do once in role — not the title on the payslip.

Site HSE officer

They keep the prevention plan alive day to day: safety talks, work permits, near-miss reporting. The role opens without engineering-level training, provided you can keep a register that survives an audit.

Regulatory compliance officer

They turn a legal obligation into a workable procedure, then prove it is applied. It is a job of evidence as much as of the field: without a record, a safety measure does not exist to an inspector.

Supervisor in high-risk settings

They arbitrate in real time between output and safety, and that is the hard part. The training is less about the rule than about the decision when the rule costs time.

Where to start

Order matters more than volume: a module taken at the wrong time is a module wasted.

  1. 01

    1 — Risk fundamentals

Identify, rate, prioritise. Without this framework, the rest is window dressing.

  2. 02

2 — One specific risk, in depth

Electrical, height, chemical or fire: the one matching your job, not all four.

  3. 03

    3 — Record-keeping and audit

Registers, permits, indicators. This is what turns a practice into demonstrable compliance.

Questions about this field

Do these courses replace an official authorisation?

No, and that must be said plainly. An authorisation is issued by the employer after training and a fitness assessment. Our modules prepare for that assessment and provide the training record; they do not replace the employer's decision nor the medical examination where one is required.

Is the content suited to the Guinean context?

Prevention principles are international; their application is not. Scenarios are built from West African contexts — heat, dust, layered subcontracting, power cuts — because a European textbook case does not prepare you for real mine-site conditions.

Are there expert-level modules?

Not today: of the 140 modules in this field, none is rated advanced. The base covers beginner and intermediate, which matches the vast majority of a site's needs. Expert levels are produced on demand, for a specific trade, as part of a corporate commission.
